Using Fundraising Companies For Your Group
The group decides on something they can sell the company offers and takes orders for it. Sometimes the money is collected when the order is made and other times you can collect it when you deliver the product. It may depend on how often your group has worked with the company.
How much you sell, and the type of product you sell will determine how much the group gets to keep. You need to consider how much of a product you will be able to sell, not just what percentage of the sales you get to keep. Keeping a large amount, but only selling a few will not be as profitable as keeping a smaller amount from many sales.
Make a group activity out of the fundraiser. Spend a weekend or two setting up a small booth somewhere and take turns manning it. If you have permission, you can set up outside a busy business area to attract customers.
You may want to set up a contest among the group members according to how much each person sells. Keep in mind that any prizes offered will take away from the profits. If sales are going well, and you will more than reach your goal, a little competition can be fun.
Having group money available to buy supplies or pay for club expenses is a good thing. You may have one big, annual fundraiser, or choose to have a few smaller ones during the year. Whichever you decide on, there are a number of fundraising companies that can help you out.
