Not too bad for a hand held little unit! I bought this for my trip to Miami and I love it. It's just taking swamp coolers and putting it into a little hand held plastic blower. I still like it, but since it stores a limited amount of water every time it can be bothering to rewet the filter that is inside the unit.

I live in the heat of Arizona so we are always in search of personal cooling products. Misty mate has always been amongst our top choices but the technology is old and I hate spraying my face with water all the time.

I'm happy with the purchase. When searching online I came across a couple handy coolers, and after some closer research found out that there were a few knockoffs on the market. My family and friends love it and we're all surprised no one has come up with something like this before. Great as a gift and I'd definitely recommend this! Very nice fan, but it doesn't come from Amazon and the Handy Cooler folks really charge a lot for shipping! (They also tried to charge me almost 5 bucks "sales tax" before they even knew where I lived!) This is a great product!

I would add some moisture to the dry air, and cool me down to my comfort level. It's almost like having a cool breeze coming in from the window. It's portable and you bring it everywhere. It's great if you are always on the move, or if you decide to leave it stationary. I use this device on my desk in a cubicle surrounded by 10 other people. This thing is so loud that you can hear it 30 feet away. I found this fan not to be any better than a regular portable fan that can be bought for less than half the price of this one, plus the shipping charges were excessive in my opinion. The only plus about this fan is that it comes with a USB connection so it can be used while you're on your laptop. This fan produces a surprisingly great amount of breeze, especially after a long game of football. It has an adjusting fan speed setting (high for when I just finish playing sport, mid-range for normal cooling off) and works almost as well as an AC because the force of the breeze is quite strong. The extra weight of the batteries are not great for hiking but the comfort at night pays off the hard work. I keep it running on mid power and it runs for a good 8 hours. The only thing I could ask for is a longer USB cable. Summer has been on the cooler side so far but the hottest month is still to come so I expect to give the fan a real workout.
